Medals don't work, which is a bummer, but I'm very glad I got to play this game again. It had been a few years.
Thanks, guys :)

Incredibly fun and challenging game.
Not giving it a full five stars 'cause I'm bitter that the medals don't work.

Otherwise I'd give it a 4.9/5.0 (I rage-quitted too many times to count)

You have so much potential. The animation is smooth, the art style is adorable, problem is the gameplay just blows.
I see you have talent, but use it for something greater than this.

I know you can do it.

I've just got to say, I love this game! I've been at it for weeks and I finally unlocked all of the medals. The satisfaction is amazing.
You really have succeeded in making a great game here. The colors have such a great effect on the game, too - makes it real spooky. The adrenaline from all the factors makes this a game you really can't stop playing.

The music is also excellent at heightening my pulse, especially when I jump from my seat because I was so tense when I flipped the vampire card. Kudos to Gruber Music on that one.

You have made a truly addicting game. I salute you.
Good job, and thank you.

This has potential! It really does.
I think it requires a nice deal of updates with a few things: the text font is just not very fitting. It would be nice to have a softer, my fantasy-esque font, if you get my drift; and maybe some sound effect to really get you in the mood and add some excitement - I'm not saying you need a full-blown soundtrack, but a little something to listen to would be nice.

There are a few subtle grammatical errors in the text, which is of course expected. Things like the word "founded" instead of "found," but that's minor stuff someone else could help out with when polishing the game.

I like the illustrations, by the way. Simple and cute.

Thank you so much for both your criticism and pointing out how this could be better. This is the kind of critique I really appreciate! As I learn to make more games, I'll keep in mind what you said when I come back to this text adventure to improve it. ❤
As for sound, I don't know how to make music and add it to Unity(I'm taking Udemy lessons), but hopefully in a future I can learn how to do so and make it sound nicer.

I'm glad you like the art.

Honestly, it's not very fun or exciting as a game, but the music is such a fucking banger I can't help myself.

I love this game to death, but why has all of my progress been erased suddenly!? What has happened? There's nothing left. It's like I've started a new game! Aw man...

I'm sorry, but it seems that I can't start the game. When I first opened the game I could only really access full screen mode and nothing else; then when I refreshed the site, not even full screen works. It's basically just music.
I won't give you a bad rating, since there is really nothing to rate, but I really would like to know why this is happening.
I'm using Chrome, if you need to know.

I like the music, though!

Oh, thanks, man! The game is actually scary/exciting for me in a way, I dunno why. Really cool!

Zoey-21 responds:

Sorry about that for some reason it wasn't like that in the preview.
I have re-uploaded the game and had some friends test it and the buttons should be working now

I really thought it was fun to play!

I wanna point out that from an aesthetic point of view, the different art styles and different sizes of the objects (the frog currently has more pixels that are smaller, and walls have less pixels that are bigger) was unpleasing to the eye. I think the frog and door having larger pixels - while still being legible objects, of course - would look awesome and fit the general feel of the game; but that's just what I think.
If it were more consistent, I would be super happy!

You probably saw this coming, but I would love more levels. I want to really feel them get more difficult as I keep playing.

Speaking of aesthetics, do you think it's possible to make the animation of the frog running just a little bit smoother? You don't have to, but seeing as that being one of the few things that actually move, it would add a lot. '
But hey! The animation that the red fountain had was really neat! You could try something like that!
Just wanted to point that out. No need to, if you don't want to :)
I only now just noticed that the yellow key is the only 3D thing in the game; that doesn't really show consistency either. Maybe make it more simple and 2D instead?

This is just me making up stuff, but what would you think about having more enemies in future levels? It really adds to the excitement having to run away from those! I would love seeing more foes in future levels.

The levels were a lot of fun to play. You're pretty good at making each puzzle different from the last. I just needed to say that, so you know that I do enjoy playing the game very much.

I really hope I don't seem harsh here! The reason I'm so critical is that I really like this game and I want to see it live up to its full potential. With more levels you could even get a small story line as to why the frog is stuck where it is.

Thank you for this experience!

I really appreciate that you liked the game and that you took the time to write your opinion.

Not all the art of the game is made by me, only a part, there is a combination of different art that is free online. I made this decision for reasons of time and money, since I am the only person working on this project.

About the animation of the frog, during development I was faced with the dilemma whether to make the movement of the frog more realistic or to have more precision in the movement, and since in the game you have to dodge holes and move boxes with certain precision, I decided to go for the precision.

I would very much like to finish the game with more levels and a little story as you mention, but for time and money reasons, only if this game gets a lot of attention.

I really liked your criticism, it helps me improve my work. Thank you so much.

Gosh, it's so fricking hard! - but i can't stop playing it!
Considering how simple this game is, I think it's really good. The animations are smooth, there's no lag; and most importantly, it's not pathetically easy! The music also adds a really fun tone to it all, even if it's not your own.
Overall, super well done! Thank you!

I couldn't concisely explain my personality here if I tried, but I can still say that I'm an amateur artist, I'm lonely, and Newgrounds is a nice place to forget about all the shit that's on my mind.
